About Joy

Joy is a polyamorous, queer, sex-positive, Jewish/atheist, mom-of-two. She specializes in working with teens and adults who are neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, consensually non-monogamous, kinky, or who experience chronic pain. For 20 years, Joy described her job as “teaching teenagers to think.” Many students who struggled with anxiety, ADHD, autism, learning challenges, test anxiety, and school reluctance/refusal found their way to her for tutoring and alternative education. Joy is an avid reader/audiobook consumer of urban fantasy, sci-fi, and literature. She loves to get out on the water whenever she can, whether it is on her paddle board, kayaking, or swimming. Joy received her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Framingham State University and her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of California, Berkeley.
